I hope the truck driver was able to get free before the vehicle exploded. In the spirit of "I too have seen something scary", I once saw a large construction crane fall over. Not one of the really huge ones used for high-rise buildings, but a large one. I was on my lunch break and was standing kitty-corner across the street (diagonally, for those who don't know that term ;) ) from the building under renovation. As I was waiting to cross the street, I heard a thunk and suddenly realized that I was seeing the lifting tackle of the crane lying in the street across the intersection from me - about 50 ft. away, I'd guess. Since this point was also across the street from the site where the crane was situated, I looked up to see what was going on. The crane was in the process of tipping over on top of a nearby forklift. It was darned lucky the crane fell when it did; the intersection, which is a busy downtown location, was empty of cars just then. Otherwise the big hook would have landed on someone's car. And if it had landed a few feet further out it would have hit a sidewalk with pedestrians. No one was hurt, but it sure made my heart race!
