That was one of the SL issues. There were a couple of spastic attempts to make an adventure among fans, but everyone wanted to create something with their own vision so it fell apart. In my longest running game I ran Banewarrens, which worked thematically quite well. (Elder evils from a past era, etc.). The trick is that you need to put the spire into your game from the beginning. I placed it in Hollowfaust in the dead section of the city (along with a strident commandment on the part of the rulers of the city that any guild Necromancer who even got near it was to be disintegrated on sight). Then when it opened they were in a delicate position of needing to use expendables to get it closed and unofficially sponsored the party later on (in that “you finish, you go!” kind of way). Some of the other parts of the game (the main antagonists for the mid-levels) required a –lot- of finessing to work, but I just took the stats published and winged it. There was actually an adaptation I worked on for a while at MC’s boards, not sure if it’s still there though. The best ‘campaign’ S&S ever published was actually in the Burok Torn book. It’s not stated out fully by any means but it’s a very solid set of linked adventures that would take you from low levels to mid-high in an epic fashion.
