I don't think he's in any way a Gandalf clone or even an Elminster clone (though he's got the Old Sage's streak for pratical jokes I feel.) For one, Yugman is PRETTY much self-interested. Meaning that while he might aid a party, he's more into his own ideas, and scholarships. He's not particular in favoring one side or another. Yugman is more about research as well as gaining knowledge. With him being CN, this is PERFECTLY within both his character AND alignment. He's also willing to help any one that does magical research, (like Neith of the Darkenee Phylacrtic Vault), as well as maybe even helping out a lone titanspawn. He's crotechy, a bit hot-tempered BUT never unnecessarily cruel or mean spirited. He just don't care for ignorance or destruction of knowledge. No one really knows how darn old the guy is and he's certainly no favorite with ANY of the gods or any titanspawn. Some rumors say he's really a god himself or a former servant of the Titans, or something MUCH older than that. What ever his true hertiage, Yugman is pretty much what you'd expect a vastly knowledgeble, fairly wise, and slightly charastimatic mage to be. But he's not what you'd call vain or arrogant, just a little full of himself at times, but not to the point of bomastic behavoir or outright egotism. But when you've been around as long as he has, I guess little pride isn't a bad thing to have.</blockquote>
