[Scarred Lands] Spring Attacking Monk Help

Nytmare

David Jose
I'm stuck at work without my books, and am trying to talk through a possible Monk build with a coworker.

Mechanically, the guy is interested in trying to build around a spring attacking monk, and I'm not sure what other options might be available to him from the Scarred Lands books.

Anyone out there who can help?

Allow me to resolve your dilemma by pointing out that Spring Attack is a terrible feat for a monk: running up to someone and hitting them once isn't going to be an effective combat tactic at the level which you get Spring Attack.

What exactly do you want to do with your character?

Actually making a monk in 3.5 is pretty much a bad idea all around. Such a poorly designed class. I scratched my monk itch by using the book of nine swords. You can use the manoeuvers provided by those classes without weapons and it actually works quite well.

So well in fact that when my Swordsage got ambushed by monks, I kicked their ass using only my fists.
