Scarred Lands

First Post
I am looking into developing a Scarred Lands Camapign usin 3.5 rules, so I am looking for any input about the setting good or bad. I played a few brief sessions in the Setting in 3.0 but haven't played in any of it since 3.5 came out. I enjoyed the setting a lot last time I did play in it, but I need some more current input from anyone who has DM or played in the setting since 3.5 was introduced.

Plus the fact that SSS/ White Wolf Publishing has just released the last Scarred Lands product, I don't know if I will run into a lack of support from products already developed for that world. I know there are plenty of products out there already published for Scarred Lands, I am just wondering if there is anything (besides WoTC or Scarred Lands) that is an absolute must to run a great, exciting, high fantasy Scarred Lands setting?

A lot of the mechanical stuff in scarred lands is 3.5, creature collection revised, Creature collection III, Lost tribes, the players guides, etc.

I would say all you need is the little gazetteer to get a sense of the continent and the kingdoms and maybe the creature books for a lot of the relevant flavor. Everything, including the creature books, are just more stuff to flesh it out but are not necessary. The basics of the world are enough from the gazetteer (recovering harsh post divine war world with lots of crazy titan spawn threats left over). And the titan's prolific variety of creations means you can use a lot of different stuff easily in the world.

Not to mention if you want psionics, Slacerians are the real deal. ;)

But in any case, use CC Revised in place of CC 1.

Everything else is pretty easy to fix/update.

Also I'd consider adding as new classes the following:

Shaman (from GR) as a way of doing Ushada and have druids be cultists of various titans.

Warlocks, they can be like proto-sorcerers

Hexblades, see Warlocks.

Samurai are probably more common among Assatthi but they still rock. (3.5 version sucks. Stick with 3.0 with updates only in the skill area.)
