Hello, I've been an off and on lurker/poster at Enworld for a long time, but since I'm starting off DMing a scarred lands adventure tomorrow I wanted to get some feedback. Its a first level party which will probably have a cleric, paladin, rogue and barbarian. I want the adventure to take place around Mithril, I believe that its the place where the most 'low level' stuff is happening as well as being a fairly safe base of operations. Unlike, say, Hollowfaust where the laws are a bit stricker than my players will be able to handle. My idea is to take the basic plot of the Serpent Amphora and start it off in Mullis Town. During the festival the PCs recieve the Amphora and beat off the Assaathi. Plans are then made to transprort in to Lave by King, and a small caravan is dispatched in order to keep as few people in the know as possible. The PCs will be assigned as guards, mainly to prevent them from saying anything, but the artifact itself will be guarded by two vigilants in a wagon. However the an agent of the Penumbral Pentagon will have noticed the events at the fair and will cause a brief distration on the journey. It will be just enough to cause every body to look away from the wagon, so a few shadows can slip in. In order to prevent the vigilants from getting help, a silence spell will be cast. The shadows will slay the vigilants and escape unnoticed. After the agent escapes, the assaathi will attempt an attack on the caravan to make off with the amphora. This attack will be aborted after they discover it has already been stolen. At the same time, the PCs and any remaining guards will realise the absence of the amphora. Then begins the great chase, with the Penumbral Lord trying to make it back to the Shadow Fortress, the Assaathi trying to bring it to friendly territory (using the encounters in the Serpent Amphora) and the PCs trying to get it to Vesh (or when that eventually fails, Mithril). Any ideas for more twists, enemies encounters. Also, much time does it take to get around that region? Respectfuly yours, Sir Pellinore
