First Post
Just recently I came across a great, humorous parody site: Book/Movie a Minute.
Essentially all they do is take the very bare bones of a story and tell it in a funny way in only a few short lines. For example:
Die Hard
Directed by John McTiernan
1988
Ultra-Condensed by Samuel Stoddard
Alan Rickman
Har har har.
Bruce Willis
Grunt sigh moan grunt holler yell sigh wince groan cringe grunt.
(A chair BLOWS UP. Then the elevator BLOWS UP. Then a room BLOWS UP. Then the building BLOWS UP. Then the entire universe BLOWS UP. But the badguy STILL ISN'T DEAD YET. Then the badguy dies.)
THE END
See? It is funny. Aside from checking out the actual page, I suggest that the boards participate in doing their own Sci-Fi/Fantasy a Minute! Just reply to the thread, I have the feeling good stuff will come of it.
To get things rolling, here's mine ...
Homeland
R.A. Salvatore
Drizzt's Sisters
Why aren't you evil!
Drizzt
I dunno. That makes me sad.
(He leaves. He's still not evil)
The End
