Sci Fi Saturday?

I hate to do this, but I am going to cancel. I have lost a lot of motivation recently to run RPGs. If someone else would like to run one, I could get up the gumption to play, but I just don't have it in me to run it right now.

What would you want to play Vince? How can I help you get your mojo back?

Genre is not important. I want to play an iron man (no, not Iron Man, but someone who takes a beating but keeps getting up anyway, determined to win - Rocky Balboa, John McClaine, Captain Blood, John Rambo, Conan the Cimmerian, Superman, the Hulk, Perry Mason, Popeye).

I'm sure I could come up with something to run by Saturday. I would be leaning toward modern horror or conspiracy game though. Who all would want to play?

And for what it is worth, I don't know that I can ever recall seeing that quality in Superman. That seems like a Batman trait to me. Superman always seemed like the guy who just couldn't be hurt, rather than the guy who kept overcoming getting the crap kicked out of him to come back fighting again.

Well, I really don't want to do anything but write on this Saturday.

Any of the classic superheroes fit the bill, but Superman gets beat up more than you think (not always physically) in the comics, movies and the old TV show. Besides, sometimes the mental image of bullets bouncing off of Superman's chest helps me to handle some days. Don't you ever wish you could be physically invulnerable - and just smile at the ass who is trying to hurt you before you smash him?

I listed Perry Mason, too, and he never got beat up - but in the books he was always getting into legal jams, backed into legal corners, just to come out fighting - legally. It doesn't have to be about the physical.
