Deep in the antarctic ice, a spaceship was buried. This ship was huge; longer than a football field, and its hull was made of some form of crystal. It showed signs of having gone through intense heat, and then having crashed on earth's surface. A military base was setup surrounding and on top of the ship when it was found. All shipments to and from it were disguised as 'scientific experiments' related to cold and magnetism. They began exploring the ship. Corpses, too decayed to tell what they might have once looked like, were scattered everywhere. Carried inside the massive ship were 50 bays that appeared designed to carry fighters or shuttles. Seven of these remained in the bays. Accessing the ship's computer took time. Translating it took even more. But when successfull, translations showed that the ship's records chronicles all the way up to its crash to earth. It was in a battle; a losing one. Its fighters had, for the most part, used thier wormhole drives to flee home. The main ship itself only had two functional activations of its wormhole drives remaining. And so, it attempted to flee. But its drive was damaged. It appeared less than a thousand miles from the surface of our sun, and in the fractions of a second before its final remaining drive warped it to earth's orbit, the intense gravity and radiation wiped out the entire crew. And so, the military began sending people out in the fighters, using thier incredibly effective engines to survey the system, and drag valuable resources and meteors in to help fund the project. Each ship had a single, one-use wormhole drive contained in it, designed to get it home after being abandoned by its mothership. The russians were, needless to say, suspicious of this base after a time. A team of covert ops troops were sent in, to find out what was going on, disable it or steal it if possible, and retreat. They found out what was going on. Hooked a bomb onto one of the fighters, and started to move on to the next before they were captured. Armed soldiers and scientists began searching, hoping to find the bomb before it went off. They failed. The bomb detonated, but did nothing to the nearly impervious exterior of the fighter; other than trigger the wormhole drive. Its emergency escape mechanism to send it home. And so, the fighter, and the unffortunate people on board, were wormholed to what was once a repair station in alien space, and is now no more than a smouldering ruin. Players: 3+. The game will run in two segments. Each player is to create 2 characters, one human, one alien. The games will run at seperate times untill one party has less than 3 remaining members; at which point, whoever is left from each team will meet up, with those players who have both characters surviving getting to choose which of the two will meet an unfortunate end. Humans: Fourth level. Available classes: Scientist, Pilot, Officer, Soldier *Must be someone the US military would allow on thier base, OR, a Russian covert ops soldier, possibly disguised. Aliens: ECL 4. Available classes: Scientist, Pilot, Officer, Soldier, Merchant, Rogue Note: You must create the attributes of the alien race you wish to play as. You can supply as many details as you want; what LA it has depends on the abilities you give it. Thier technology can consist of organic, living ships and devices, or of nonorganic mechanical devices; roughly what thier capable of is up to you. *Must be a character who is a mercenary of one type or another, with at least some form of less-than-legal past activity. The Farscape peacekeepers organization exists, if you choose to involve them. Reply here or e-mail to kyne2@yahoo.com with requests for information or desire to play. The game will be a chat game.
