Scrying + Teleport...Not Really a Good Choice...

Teleport takes you to a place. Scrying lets you see a person.

Now, depending on how far away the person you are scrying on lives, and how often they go to the same places, you can get a better and better fix, either by going to the same places and studying them, or looking at the same places via Scrying.

You could get a good idea of places people go to often (like the King's palace) or that they hardly leave (like the lair of a powerful creature, like a Naga). So that you could easily ambush someone like that, barring outside spells.

Unfortunately, this tactic seems far too practical against some individuals than I thought. But it certainly would take a lot of time to acquire the necessary familiarity...

It doesn't even really take that much study. An ordinary port has a 75% chance of hitting a "seen once" destination (like something viewed through scrying) on the first time. Since mishaps aren't really fatal, you can try it again if you mess up.

About the only good thing about Buff Scry Teleport is that Scrying can now be resisted with a Will save, instead of requiring an easy skill check. But the potential payoff is bigger too; most buffing spells have shorter durations, so an unprepared opponent probably won't have anything running.

Greater Teleport, of course, elimates failure on the port.

I HR is that viewing an area only through a scry spell has a addtional 25% chance of failure added to teleport table. This prevents anyone from trying it unless very desperate. This actually helped the PC's since a nemises captured a PC and took a lock of his hair. If you have actually seen the location in person this penalty is ignored.
