Pathfinder 1E Second 2015 AP: Hell's Rebels

Second Most Angelic Devil Ever
The second AP in 2015 will be another "traditional" one, with the PC's getting involved in politics in Cheliax.

Hell’s Rebels Adventure Path

Releasing after the Giant Slayer adventure path, Hell’s Rebels will cast the players as rebels in Cheliax city of Kintargo, who will attempt to overthrow the rule of House Thrune.

Will also have issue 100 of the Adventure Path line. This issue will be an extra 32 pages long (120 Pages), will be written by James Jacobs, and will also contain a special article on the dead god Aroden written by Erik Mona as well as summary and supporting NPC for every AP released so far.

PCs will be building up a resistance group called the Silver Crows in the city over the course of the campaign, and might use the organization rules from Ultimate Campaign.

While the AP will have plenty of combat, social RP will be a large focus. Expect a political focus.
Probably not a good AP for Chelish loyalist.
Maybe we'll finally discover how Aroden died.

Let me see if I can dredge up some memory from last year's GenCon Adventure Path seminar:
* The AP grew out of the response to Council of Thieves, which a lot of people really wanted to be the "fight House Thrune" AP and wasn't.
* It kicks off with a new leader being named in Kintargo, which is the city you end up hopefully freeing. He's a giant jerk.
* I'm pretty sure it's Silver Ravens (like the figurine of wondrous power, which they use to communicate), not Silver Crows.
* The Aroden article isn't supposed to reveal how he died, but is supposed to reveal a lot about how he lived, which naturally contains some hints.
* They're changing the orientation for numbers on the spine starting with the first issue of Hell's Rebels, so they can fit three digit numbers on there.

Cheers!

Personally, I hope it's nothing like Council of Thieves. The only cool part of the AP was the play thing in the first adventure and the rest was pretty forgettable except for the last combat of the AP in which we were fighting a group of Bad Guys and were kicking their butts and didn't even realize we were fighting the boss until the DM told us this was the boss fight.

Definitely NOT one of the favorite APs in my group.

Hell's Rebels isn't a direct sequel to Council of Thieves, but it'll work VERY well as a followup to that one, especially if your players are eager to actually make a difference and take the fight to those Thrunies!

With a name like "Thrunies," they've got to be innocent!
