Secret History of the NWoD?

An excellent question popped up on the Roleplaying Games Stack Exchange site the other day, that left me stumped:

How does nWoD's Secret History chapter relate to the other core books?

Does anyone know if the secret history is linked in *any* way in any of the other World of Darkness books? If so did you put it into your campaign some how?

As I recall, there's a few minor mentions of things that are probably inspired by that chapter in various splatbooks. I seem to recall there's one in HtV, but it doesn't come to mind at the moment.

Really, as well done as that chapter was (and it was, IMO), secret histories belong in the oWoD, IMO.

HtV = Hunter: the Vigil. No idea what Hunter book if it isn't in the main, thew NWoD makes me break out in hives by and large.

It might BE in the main Hunter: The Vigil book. I think one of the third-tier organizations has a tie to the God Machine, although it's not directly stated as such.
