From an RP point of view one might not want a Zhentarim to know about Harper business, but the goals of either the extra renown or real special missions are never putting the factions against each other. It's always possible for all sides to reach all their goals.Sharing your special mission might be your best way to accomplish it (e.g. the heavily armored Order of the Gauntlet member asking the sneaky Harper bard to complete his "steal some documents" secret Gauntlet mission for him)</blockquote>
