Seeking poetry for bard -- good source of limericks?

First Post
Can anyone point me to a good resource for limericks, either online or at via book store? The bard class description allows for poetics as well as music, so I'm thinking about rounding up some good words prepped for quick reference during the game. Limericks would fit very nicely, I think. Can't think of anything more inspiring when one's life is on the line.

Two suggestions...

1. Channel Michael Morris.

2. The comic book Groo the Wanderer has a minstrel character you can get good stuff from.

Or Google Groups it. There's a newsgroup devoted to limericks, though I don't remember if it's in the alt.* or rec.humor.* hierarchy. Years ago when I used to lurk there, they'd respond to spammers with limericks. It was quite amusing at times. Also quite Grandma-unfriendly (as limericks in general often are), so consider yourself warned.

I agree with Google completely. I used it to track down some Irish folk songs for a play by post bard I ran for a while. As an aside, Play by Post was a fabulous way for the normally non-musical me to play a bard.

There once was a thread getting bawdy,
Nantucket was mentioned, how naughty!
The gauntlet was thrown,
And it tickled my bone,
So I [Grandma Deleted] ...so sorry...

:D

The Challenge: Poster Bard's Limerrifathon!

Your Portion?: One at a time, give me a noun, a verb, and a any one other miscellaneous word. No single word may be over three syllables. I'll check in and compose a limerick for you.

All good limericks start "There once was a man from Nantucket..."
Which really makes them useless for D&D, since few worlds have a place called Nantucket.

Though for anyone looking for bard-type songs, Canteria is the place to go.
