Message: <blockquote data-quote="MortalPlague" data-source="post: 6408819" data-attributes="member: 62721">The player who put Durbag together is definitely more interested in RP than min/maxing.  Since he was starting the character at 13th level (to replace a captured PC, who they later rescued), he had the chance to start with some magic items.  He opted for a Headband of Intellect to give himself 19 INT, and he flavored it as a pair of spectacles.  So this orc, who had average intellect before, stumbled onto these glasses which gifted him with enough brains to decipher arcane secrets.If he ever loses those glasses, he might just be screwed.As for how the racial stuff has affected his character, it has hardly come up at all.  He doesn't really use weapons for the added crit dice, and the only time he was taken down to 0, we forgot about his half-orc ability.  But it certainly hasn't hurt him either.</blockquote>
