I am currently selling some stuff on eBay, so I will try and talk about what I have learned. There are many aspects to this. I listed 37 items and that took me six hours to do. I wrote usually the back copy for a description, used a template (that eBay remembers and lets you use), had pictures in the same place and that's how long it took. I only put one thing in a lot, otherwise, each is individual. So, if you have more than 400+ items, this will be your job for a week! When doing this, here is what I suggest: Excel spreadsheet of some kind tracking their number, the title, start date, end date, starting price, and then room for the winners information, like address, shipping costs etc. Especially with that much. Paypal: If you don't have a checking account paypal, you can't accept money from another person's account. It takes the upgrade to a business account to accept a credit card, and even then, there are penalties. (Technically, you can accept a credit card payment without this but the fees are up to 15% of the bid!) It is fast, which is why so many people use it. I haven't had a problem with it and have had an account for over two years. Make sure to have a disclaimer! List what you will accept or not. List how quick you expect to be notified of payment or asked for information. We once listed no credit card paypal payments 4 times and still had people trying to pay via credit card! With that many, I would suggest a flat rate for shipping which will only change if one person wins many auctions. Otherwise, it will take a long time to get shipping quotes, send the emails, get the payment, get it cleared and then send the item. I would suggest that any lots, which are probably heavy, you let the buyer choose what they want to do for shipping. sob story: In my first attempt, I didn't charge for boxes, only the shipping cost. I lost 10% to the boxes and packing material because I had to pay for it. Something to keep in mind. I don't know how most people will react but I understand when I buy something that I should pay for total cost to ship it to me, not just the mailing cost. Not everyone does, though. Definitely pimp it! I posted mine here, well in the marketplace area, and a few other areas I know. That's the point of those places, in a way, and will only serve to help you sell your items. In any case, good luck with the auction and the move! I can't wait for your next product! I am waiting for the Roman product you talked about doing! :) Have a good one! Take care! edg
