I have to say that this is something I have been looking for. Not so much for the descriptions (though that is very nice and extremely well done) but for the possible mystic attributes assigned to each gem. I have been working on a new spellcasting system that ties to the use of gemstones as a focus and this helped me categorize the stones quickly and easily (each stone corresponds to a specific school, or schools, of magic).

I also liked the background on lapideries (sp?) and how they can fit into the campaign background. This will also work its way into my personal campaign, for such a group of crafters would have an immense amount of power and control over the spellcasters in the world I am working on.
