Sequel of adventures

Hi good folks.
I am a newcomer to the greyhawk setting and I wish to start a greyhawk campaign.
Has anyone some suggestions for good storyline (sequel of adventures)
I want to start at the official GH campaign launching date at 576 (if researched correctly).
I have no clue if there is some major theme that can be used to take the PC's from level 1 to epic levels, for I just have started reading.

The classic greyhawk adventures would be, in order of levels:
U - Saltmarsh series
A - Slaver Series
G - Giant Series
D - Drow Series

With S (Special) - White Plume Mountain, Barrier Peaks, Toom of Horrors as sidetreks (Horrors should probably be last)

That'l probably get you up to 20th level or so.

The amount of treasure in the U series is astounding, you may want to tone that down a bit.

I've run the A series in 3e and I would recommend a party of 6 or more characters.

I haven't run the G series in 3e, but looking at the material it will be very difficult, 3e giants are so much tougher than 1e.

Not sure how the difficult the D series would be.
