Good Gawd! That makes me want to play a sorcerer/paladin. Wow, what a DM headache that thing would be! "You have a WHAT to your saves?"
 




but i like the idea of the Verbal only spells, I wonder with all the other books included how many verbal only spells there really are?

I did that, but unfortunately I had to move so I only played about 4 sessions with the character. Still, it was great fun while it lasted. His backstoy had his magical abilities based on celestial blood, and the DM let me
alternate paladin and sorcerer levels.

It would have been a long wait to the second-level spells, but Blindness would have been a very effective tactic. And he did get lots of use out of the true strike+power attack+smite combo on his spear, well worth only attacking every other round.

Worth mentioning are Monte Cooks Complete Book of Eldritch Might, which includes armor/enchancement types that reduce or eliminate the arcane spell failure chance of armor.
