Serious concern about the story hour forum

Hello

I just realised something.

The story hours threads go away after a month if there is no update. Now a lot of story hours are at "part III" or something by now, wich means that the part I & II aren't being posted to anymore, wich means that the link at the begining of part III "go here to read the begining!" will eventualy be non functional, as part I and II vanish. (for example).

I think this is a bad inconvenient for authors with long stories and for begining readers.

Anyway to fix this?

The threads don't "go away" after a month. The board is setup to display, by default, only threads updated within a month. You can change this setting from the topic listing window, eg to display all threads from the last 100 days, or from the last year, or from the beginning.

...and, if they did want to prune, they generally ask about who wants what archived before they do so.

It'd be a good idea for SH authors to ask for their older threads to be archived. That would make it so much easier to catch up on the long running SHs.

Dough!

I used to knew this, wich makes it worse.

Well, I'm happy to hear the stories aren't being lost to the mists of time, even if it took me posting a brain dead post. I assumed it was a feature of the new boards or something.
