[QUOTE="Neo, post: 1903570, member: 4139"] That would have been one of my characters :) Creating custom appearance characters is done via character editor programs like LETO or CODI LETO is simply an editor it allows you to change most aspects of your character, though because of the Legal Characters enforced server rule (and rightly so) you can only alter the appearance, portrait, add wings, tail etc.. and have the character still legal and therefore usable. In order to use it you create a new character as normal then you open LETO and edit the character file for that character inside your local vault inside your own NeverwinterNights directory. Essentially via this program you can appear as almost any creature in the game..but that is really all you are doing "appearing" as something else..beneath it all you are still one of the standard base races. For example my Kobold Deekin..may appear as a Kobold and I may have written Kobold in his subrace column, and chosen Deekins voice set and given him Deekins portrait..but his actual race is halfling. Tor is actually a half orc..made to look like a Shield Guardian. Once your characters appearance, voiceset, portrait etc..are altered you save the edited character file and send it to one of the DM's along with your Player Login so we know where the character file needs to go. (my contact e-mail can be found on my website from the url in my signature), We then check the character file is acceptable and add it to your player vault folder in the servers vault thereby making the character accessible to you for play. The other program I mention CODI has a further use many seem unaware of, namely it is necessary for if you want to play a character that is a Brownie or Wemic, which are the 2 new races CEP added.. you have to make a character in CODI and choose the race wemic ro brownie there.. choosing these races cannot be done via LETO, although leto could allow you to appear as either race..without actually being them as explained above. Not quite sure why it wasnt possible for the CEP crew to make the two new races chooseable in the standard fashion, but they arent and you have to use the method I mention here in order to play one.
