I wanna know if my DM is being too severe on me or if I am just a crybaby. We recently started a campaign at lvl 1 and since I wanted to play a succubus, my DM removed ethereal jaunt, summon tanar'ri and greater teleport from my character because he thought it would be way too disruptive; since succubus are lvl adjustment +6 (My DM showed reluctant to lower it since he still "considered it balanced" even though he removed several of my strongest spell-like abilities) I decided I would "delay" my Spell-Like Abilities making a refuge on my background story, so it turns out my char was kidnapped and used as a platform of sellable spell-like abilities for a high lvl wiz. long story short she managed to escape and join a party... that's when our campaign started. We just finished the loooooongest dungeon I ever played and the things I kept since lvl 1 was my dimension door, charm person (because charm monster was deemed un-apt by DM), suggestion, detect good, detect thoughts, polymorph, telepathy to 14ft/lvl up to 100ft. Tongues was lessened to 1 new language/lvl. Some of the things that makes me think my DM is kind of uncomfortable with my char are: -In a 5ft narrow hallway with golem doors every other square. there's a door in the end (not theatened by the golems) so I used dimension door to get to the very last square. my mates were NOT being attacked unles they were in FRONT of the golems but I still got my wings ripped off by the golems and when I got them re-atached turns out I cant fly for 3 months. -I got grabbed by a huge rock-made hand (some crazy druid's spell (dungeon boss)) and when I used dimension door to get to a different place DM deemed my legs were left in the hand and I only had head, torso, hands and useless wings. -I also have to roll %d every time I'm using Dimension Door to get to a kinda far location even though the spell states I just have to visualize it if I have already been there and is within range. By the time we finished the dungeon we were 4th lvl btw (it was that long). So the deal is... do you think I'm just over-reacting or is it in fact that my DM is being way too severe or somewhat unfair with my char? Do you think I should let him know? (It's not about puting him down or anything) and if so... how could i do that without making him feel uneasy of without looking like an idiot/crybaby? Sorry for the longass post but I guess it was needed. and thanks for any help provided I've been kind of uncomfortable with this issue so far.
