[There is a door at the north side of the room] A quick search of the room turns up a lot of things, but little of immediate use. Some chain, bits of rope, scrap metal and wood, all useful in Aldus' line of work but not so for adventurers. Searching the fallen turns up a little more---6 gp all told in change, a brace of hand crossbows with about 2 dozen bolts between them, three shortwords, and the heavy's bastard sword. None of it is magical, but Genithar does manage to turn up a potion on the thug---a healing potion for moderate wounds according to his training. [Spellcraft] Mathew and Balnibar take a moment to examine the flinger. It is a solid piece of work, but beyond their capability to rearm and deploy. [Craft Checks] Balnibar thinks he might be able to jury-rig it to fire once, but it would become in-operational afterwards. [Disable Device] The mystery of the 'House' remains that. Genithar is not familiar with any organization calling themselves by that name in arcane circles, and none of them are familiar enough with Sharn to understand its seedy underworld. The elf's study of history allows him to recall that there was an organization of aberrant marked scions in the distant past that might have been a false 'House', but nothing solid.
