Rereading my own post makes me feel that it was very negative. I did not in any way mean to slight the story. Afterall Im reading it and loving it almost daily :) and did so with Travels as well. I have no firsthand experience with this module. But for instance in the present fight theres a wizard 15-16 (the horrid wilting one), a wizard 11+ (the acid fog one), a Glabrezu, a fire giant (a leveled one I think), a sorcerer 10+(the cone of cold one) and some minions (the greatsword one maybe a bit more than a minion). The party right now consists of a 16 lvl good meleer, a 16 level good archer, a 16 level good sneak attacker and a 11 lvl decent meleer. They have walked into an ambush and lost their ally (the celestial) and already taken something like 40-70 hp damage without really hurting the opposition. If the oppostion fights even moderately clever and coordinated they should win easily. If the continue to hinder each other or starts running when hurt a bit it will be touch and go. The only thing the heroes seem to have going for them right now is the Holy avenger and the Dispel every round thing. But even with that they seem to be completely outmatched. As I recall it that fire giant and his minions alone gave JollyDocs players plenty trouble. And they are among the most powergamery group I've read about and has almost twice the number of PC's. In fact the number of deaths they have suffered during this adventure path is evidence of its deadliness. If I was dm'ing this fight I think I would have toned down the opposition in order to give the PC's a chance. But hey, they might do something I have not thought of and carry the day. In fact I'm confident they will ;)
