Shackled City in Eberron - Any Tips?

First Post
Hello Everyone,

I plan to run Paizo's "Shackled City Adventure Path" for my players, and they've expressed interet in setting it in Eberron. Are there any online resources with tips, etc., on how best to incorporate the Shackled City campaign into the Eberron setting? If so, where may I find them?

If there aren't such online resources, (or even if there are), what tips would YOU suggest for me? I'm most wondering about where to set Cauldron and environs on Khorvaire, how to substitute the churches in the adventure with Eberron equivalents, and how to incorporate Eberron-specific factions, Houses, etc. into the adventure nautrally.

Thanks!

I don't know much about the shackled city campaign, but I've always had a bit of a desire to put it in Q'Barra. Not very helpful, but it is all that I have.

When I talked to the people selling it at gen con, they suggested placing it in Xen'drik or any area that was jungly and mountaineous because the city's in a dormant valcaneo.

If you did put it on Xen'drik, I'd replace Stormreach with Cauldron — Sharn is close enough that PCs could get there if they needed to, but not so close that it'd change the nature of the Adventure Path (Cauldron's pretty isolated). Stormreach, which I kind of always pictured as being a community along the lines of the American West in the 19th century (frontier, lawless, rugged) could be more like Casablanca (as in the film). A thought at least...

Somewhere on the Fringe of the Demon Wastes. Still pretty close to the 5-nations on the NE side; close to the Shadow MArches and Droaam on the SW.

I'll likely be finishing my current campaign in Ashtakala anyway, so maybe I'll start-up tSC around there as a tie-in...

Besides, who doesn't enjoy fiend (and whatever else creepy is in the Demon Wastes) random encounter tables. ;)

Q'Barra is jungley, isolated by mountains and oceans and isn't swarming with drow tribes or wrought with the Traveler's Curse.

With that said, in my opinion you can't make a reliable map of Xen'drik. The impact of the war against the Quori and the devasting magic that destroyed the civilization of the giants basically makes time and space unreliable; it's called the Traveler's Curse, and it means that if two people set out for point A at exactly the same time using the same path, one may take twice as long to get there, and may stumble on a ruin the others never see. As a result, two cartographers could produce entirely different maps. The curse does seem to have a stronger effect on foreigners, so getting a drow guide will help (although again, sometimes the curse will get you to your destination faster than distance should allow), but this is why you can always choose to ignore our maps, or how you could suddenly discover a previously unknown city only a week's travel away from Stormreach. Maps of Xen'drik are guidelines, not concrete fact.
