Shackled City with Ptolus?

WLC with Northern Crown is not something I ever imagined. What city will it be standing in for?

Well, I'm not entirely certain just yet, but I expect that there will be some tweaking involved. At the present time, only the NC core book is available locally (which might actually be a blessing, as the gazetteer would likely provide more hurdles for adaptation).

There's liberal use of the Fiend Folio, but all the info you need is in the big red SC book itself. I don't know if someone else has insights, I've only run the first 2 adventures before I moved away from the group I was with.

If you have the SCAP Hardcover and the Core 3 Rulebooks then you should have everything you need to run the campaign. Any FF monsters are written out in full in the hardcover.

One last question, for you then. . . . how often does the SCAP refer you to products other than the three core rulebooks for mechanical info? That is, what books other than the three core books are required to make full use of the SCAP?

As has already been said, the SCAP hardcover contains the statblock entries for everything you need to run it. Obviously you need the core trio of books, but that's really it.

Two things that might be useful; http://therpgenius.com/index.php They've just redesigned the site and it looks like you need registration to gain access, but there are a bunch of scanned materials ready for handouts. Materials like that. Secondly, I'd gone and updated all the statblock entries for Chapters 1-6 (the first half of the AP) to the new statblock format. If you want, I could make the Word doc available to you.

That being said, 1} some of my baddies are altered to Eberronize them or simply make them fit my campaign better and 2} some of my baddies are altered due to either House Rules or the fact that we play Gestalt. For instance: we play with the Dodge feat not requiring a named target; you get a flat +1 dodge bonus to AC for the feat. That's incorporated into my statblocks, so you'd have to manually hack it back out.

Thanks for all of the help. I ended up buying the three core books, Northern Crown, and SCAP. I think I'm going to try running two SCAP campaigns with different groups simultaneously, one using D&D 3.5 and one using EZ20. Also, with my next paycheck (two weeks down the road), I plan to pick up WLC to use in place of New Amsterdam in NC.

Good stuff. I hope the campaign(s) go(es) well. One more resource for you...

Paizo (who made the Shackled City AP) has a forum specifically for it. Lots of good resources. There's also an unofficial errata thread there somewhere...

Ahh. The joy of bookmarks. Good luck.
