Shadow Magic Arcane Tradition (updated)

Both Shadow Conjuration (and Shadow Evocation) and Shadow Walk used to be spells in AD&D/3e D&D era that didn't make the cut to 5e. As they were emblematic to the shadow mage aforementioned in the OP, I tried to include them as class features. Making a custom spell would also have been fine i guess.

Your write-up sound great however, thanks

Oh, yeah. I know. I'm just questioning whether it may be a more useful feature if it were a more "immediate" kind of shadow walk...and/or the potential to grab/take unwilling targets (save vs spell dc, of course) to incapacitate them or [temporarily?] trap them in the shadow plane....it has shades of DC's Raven or Marvel's Nightcrawler, when they "teleport" someone and they suffer cold damage or end up stunned or some such...For the shadow mage, being able to just teeleport themselves, at least, around as an action instead of requriing a minute to get a group of willing follks around...

Something to make it a bit more useful in or out of combat...along with, if you want, being able to use it as a ritual to bring along a bunch of willing folks waiting around for your to finish/take them.

I wonder if in 5e shadow magic spells need to he more limited i.e. to duplication of a limited selection of named spells like in 1e to avoid unexpected combinations. I loved them for my sorcerer since they gave so much versatility while using up only one spell known slot.
