The dwarf has been eating contently and watching over his smallish companion. He looked on with interest as Cid told his story. At it's completion, and at the behest of Gilda, Brenbold leaned back in his chair with a look of discomfort. A loud belch escaped from his mouth and he quickly wiped his beard and mouth with his sleeve. "Bah, excuse me. As educated as I am and as different as I am from my brothers, sometimes you just can't completely escape your heritage." Turning to the elf he continues. "I know you weren't trying to kill my friend here, I just get a bit irritable when I think somebody's being careless. No matter now, Rascal's fine and he seems content again." Slapping the elf on the back, he grins. Loudly, he orders a drink from the barkeep. "Frick, another two mugs of this fine Dwarven ale please." Looking at the elf he finishes up. "Trust me, you'll like it. Probably not as fancy as your kin's spirits, but it definately packs a punch." Turning his attention back to Cid he starts again. "My good man, if your grandfather was as masterful a craftsman as you say he was, then I'm sure that his staff is far from devoid of it's power. I believe that things manifest themselves given the right time and the right circumstances. Perhaps this little job of ours will provoke the staff into aiding you as it once aided your grandfather." Looking around the tavern, he echoes Gilda's words. "Now, where's that woman? I had hoped to hear her words prior to getting a bit tipsy. However should she wait much longer, her words may fall on dwarven ears which have been tainted by this wonderful ale."
