Shadows of the Last War (Eberron)

Crothian

First Post
We finished this last night and I must say it was a heck of a lot easier then I would have imagined. I was all worried about the mournlands trying to find any excuse (in character) to avoid the place. But we go in, kick but, have plenty of chances to rest for days inside the mine/secret base with plenty of supplies provided. No one ever got injuried much. It was fun, but just easy. But that lady from House Cannith was majorly making me mad. She was all about the secrets and a bit patranozing. My Shifter was really starting to threaten her. IT was fun. :D

Hmmm... the rogue IMG ended up bedding Lady D' Cannith when they got back to the goblin Kingdom. The funny thing was; he's house Orien in hiding. Oh, how the prospects of mixing two houses would've been fun. To bad the game didn't last much longer...

You were able to recover hit points while you were in the Mournlands? No wonder it was easy for you. :\

I play a Druid and I came prepared. Goodberry works there. There were a few other spells that can heal that also work there that my Druid and the cleric could have used, but we never had the need.

Even if we didn/t the border was not that far away and with the earth car we could have drove in, adventured, drove out and healed.

We did that too. But
the final encounter was set up so that it happened when our HP were low after fighting through the dungeon and before we could get out to rest
. Would have been a TPK if the DM hadn't found an excuse to keep us alive.
(We had no goodberries. What cleric healing spells work there?)

We rested inside and my Druid insisted that we find a way to take all the wolves with us.:D

I think it is a second level cleric spell from PHB2 called Mark of something; I don't have that book to confirm it. You cast it on an enemy then when one of your allies attacks him they heal 2 points. There is also a third level cleric spell in Races of Eberron Irian's Light that can also work there.

Anything that restores hitpoints but isn't either natural healing or magic based on the healing subschool works just fine. Psychic healing, good berries, lay on hands, wholeness of body and if you have a merciful GM any healing effect cast inside an extradimensional space like Rope Trick are all valid methods.

I did that, too. I was playing a ranger, and I communicated with the leader of the wolf pack. We got their aid in the last battle, without even knowing it was going to be happening.

Saved our bacon.

It's a shame that our group ended up disbanding after that (School, work, distance factors), as it was a great deal of fun....

We didn't have any of that stuff, just a cleric. That's why I asked about cleric spells specifically - it seems there were none at that time.

For a later trip to the Mournlands we got a magic item that cast rope trick (I think it was a wand we had to use via UMD).

I hate the Mournlands.
