[QUOTE="DralonXitz, post: 3038544, member: 20083"] Shadows over Chicago The year is 1928. Al Capone is at the height of his power in Chicago, and the denizens of the Windy City live in an eternal fear, fear of extortion, robbery, and death. The streets have become chaotic, with local gangs fighting over controls of the streets, police trying to break down Capone’s empire, and Capone laying down his own personal law. The day has become the night, and the night has become something completely different. Financial districts turn into warzones, an everlasting orchestra of death, with the gangsters as the musicians, and their Thompsons the instruments. The liquor flows easy, easier than even the blood, and one smell is always rank throughout the streets. The smell of fear. On July 11th, 1928, a small time gang, The Back Alley Bruisers, set up a meeting in North Park, with one of Capone’s subsidiary gangs, The Tackle. The meeting was arranged to take place in a small carpentry shop, known as “Louie’s”, where the Bruisers would arrange to make up missed tribute to Capone. 3:00 was the time. 2 hours later, well dressed men were seen leaving the shop, with 6 bodies, wrapped in blankets. The Chicago Police department is on high alert, as they known if word of this gets out to the South Side, a violent city wide gang war will erupt, and what little order is left will be lost forever. Capone is furious as well, as he knows the consequences of this action all too well. Noone knows why The Tackle did it, and noone knows where they are. All that is known, is that there’s a big bounty out there on their heads, and what’s wrong with a little money? RULES This campaign is going to use d20 Modern rules. No supplements are needed, however, if at creation you want any special guns from the Equipment guides, those are permissible, as long as they fit the 20’s/30’s time period. All cars/equipment must be era specific as well. This game will have a dark noir pulse to it, think Dick Tracy-esque, combined with The Untouchables. This game is also unique, in the fact that despite what the characters allegiances are, they are not forced to follow any specific agency or bureau. The story will be mainly crafted by the decisions the players make, and it can go either way. Working for or against Capone, the Police, or on their own. Characters will be 3rd Level, standard Wealth rules in place. We need three players, and sheets should be posted at our RG thread. Happy Gaming!
