Shalosha Murdered?

Pardon me if this has already been discussed.

My players are about to begin "Tears of the Burning Sky," which concludes in an armed confrontation involving Shalosha. This encounter will likely end with at least half of the party trying to kill her. Two members of my party are orphaned Taranesti siblings. Cooler heads (barely) prevailed when they met for the first time in "Shelter from the Storm" but I don't see that happening when they meet Shalosha with weapons drawn.

Future adventures mention the possibility that Characters have slain Shalosha. However, I haven't seen the ramifications covered in any detail. How would the encounter with Shaaladel's forces play out if he knows members of the resistance are responsible for his daughter's death? For that matter, Rantle has a thing with Shalosha.

My main problem is how do I stop "The Festival of Dreams" from being a complete disaster? Or should I?

You could have Shalosha turn invisible and just try to parlay as they fly, and to disavow her father as she does so. Only have her fight against the dragon, not the party, and have her withdraw if they attack her (but stay close enough to hit the dragon from behind).

And if they kill her, have them start receiving threatening sendings sent on behalf of Shaaladel, then perhaps have the Seaquen council express mixed frustration and sympathy that the party may have gotten rid of a potential ally.

But yeah, let the dice fall where they may.
