shaman spirit movement

First Post
The spirit power says that when I take a move action, that my spirit moves the same speed I have.

So, am I right when I think that if I don't- or can't (immobilized, etc)- move then my spirit can't move either?

Nope. You can move your spirit up to the number of squares that you would normally be able to move (ie your speed).

If you are immobilized, if you can find a way to use your move action (ie: a teleport), then you can still move your spirit companion.l

If you are slowed, it reduces the amount of distance your spirit companion can move.

Quite possibly this is the only time where being both slowed AND immobilized actually matters..

Does Immobilize change your Speed? No. (So your spirit isn't immobilized)
Does Slowed change your Speed? Yes. (So your spirit is also slowed)

Also note that you can "teleport" your spirit companion by taking two minor actions (dismiss and resummon) - or a minor and a free action, if you have the Nimble Spirit feat. :)

What about when the Shaman uses a move action to move a zone (various daily powers work like that). He uses a move action to effect the power, but doesn't physically move himself. Does the spirit get to move?
