Is it possible for a druid to share a spell with her animal companion if the spell comes from a scroll?

Share Spells (Ex): At the druid’s option, she may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) she casts upon herself also affect her animal companion. The animal companion must be within 5 feet of her at the time of casting to receive the benefit. If the spell or effect has a duration other than instantaneous, it stops affecting the animal companion if the companion moves farther than 5 feet away and will not affect the animal again, even if it returns to the druid before the duration expires. Additionally, the druid may cast a spell with a target of “You” on her animal companion (as a touch range spell) instead of on herself. A druid and her animal companion can share spells even if the spells normally do not affect creatures of the companion’s type (animal).

I voted no.

You may only share spells you actually cast yourself.

However, if I were to allow you to share spells cast from items, I would allow it from spell completion items only (like scrolls) and not from spell trigger items (like wands or staves).

I voted yes. It certainly looks like the RAW allows it. The share spells ability only states that "she may have any spell (but not any spell-like ability) she casts upon herself also affect her animal companion." As long as the spell you cast from the scroll/wand/staff/etc is cast on you, you may share it with your companion.

Seems pretty straight forward to me.

Ah, but do you actually cast a spell from a wand, staff, scroll, etc.?

Or, do you use the:

Activate Magic Item
Many magic items don’t need to be activated. However, certain magic items need to be activated, especially potions, scrolls, wands, rods, and staffs. Activating a magic item is a standard action (unless the item description indicates otherwise).

action?

The RAW explicitly says a scroll is "equivalent" to casting the spell yourself, and then details ways it is not the same.

I interpret "equivalent" used here as "functionally the same except where we say otherwise". So I voted Yes.

If you interpret "equivalent" as "similar in idea, but basically different in detail" then you should probably vote No.

Looking up spell completion

Spell Completion: This is the activation method for scrolls. A scroll is a spell that is mostly finished. The preparation is done for the caster, so no preparation time is needed beforehand as with normal spellcasting. All that’s left to do is perform the finishing parts of the spellcasting (the final gestures, words, and so on). To use a spell completion item safely, a character must be of high enough level in the right class to cast the spell already. If he can’t already cast the spell, there’s a chance he’ll make a mistake. Activating a spell completion item is a standard action and provokes attacks of opportunity exactly as casting a spell does.

Based on that, you could interpriet it as the equivalent of casting the spell. There's a whole can of worms in it, though, so being consistant is the most important thing.
