[QUOTE="Scion, post: 2804902, member: 5777"] The class is designed, at least in theory, to apply to a lot of different types of builds.. But, as a couple of examples.. Starting with a psion5 and then moving into the prc: Psion 5 HD: 5d4 BAB: +2 Saves: F: +1, R: +1, W: +4 Skill points: 8*(2+int) from psion list Manifestor level: 5 Powers: 1st 5, 2nd 4, 3rd 2 PP: 25 + 5*1/2*int bonus Feats: (level 1) Psicrystal affinity, (psion bonus 1) improved psicrystal, (level 3) improved psicrystal, (psion bonus 5) improved psicrysal Special: 4 personality fragment bonuses Psicrystal: 8th level psion equivalent abilities (which at this point is +1 natural armor and +1 int) Fairly basic a this point, although all feats being spent on the psicrystal is a bit rough. Now we move into the prc. Lets take it 4 levels in. Psion 5/Shattered Mind 4 HD: 5d4+5d6 BAB: +4 Saves: F: +2, R: +2, W: +5 Skill points: 8*(2+int) from psion list + 4*(6+int) from shattered mind list Manifestor level: 7 Powers: 1st 5, 2nd 4, 3rd 4, 4th 2 PP: 46 + 7*1/2*int bonus Feats: (level 1) Psicrystal affinity, (psion bonus 1) improved psicrystal, (level 3) improved psicrystal, (psion bonus 5) improved psicrysal, (level 6) any, (level 9) any Special: Affinity x2 (bonus improved psicrystal feats), fragmented mind (+3 bonus to will saves with restrictions), extra psicrystal, extra fragments (new personality choices), fragmented responses (+3 bonus on reflex saves with restrictions, evasion with tougher restrictions), fragmented soul (+3 bonus on fort saves with restrictions, SR 16 with restrictions), 6 personality fragment bonuses (one of which may be from the extra fragment list) Psicrystals (2): 14th level psion equivalent abilities (extra abilities are PR 14, sight link, +2 natural armor, +2 int) Depending on what sort of build that is desired the choices for the fragments will change. Does that help? ;) Edit: Forgot to put up a 9th level straight psion as a comparison point. Not a direct comparison so much as a general feel of course. [sblock=Psion 9]Psion 9 HD: 9d4 BAB: +4 Saves: F: +3, R: +3, W: +6 Skill points: 12*(2+int) from psion list Manifestor level: 9 Powers: 1st 5, 2nd 4, 3rd 4, 4th 4, 5th 2 PP: 72 + 9*1/2*int bonus Feats: (level 1) any, (psion bonus 1) any, (level 3) any, (psion bonus 5) any, (level 6) any, (level 9) any[/sblock] Do you know of a different mechanic than the poison then? I was hesitant to put a [mind effecting] descriptor on it although likely it should be there. I just wanted something that potentially effect the target in a small way, but if they failed then it could potentially hit a lot harder.. much like phantasmal killer but not quite as rough and over a longer period of time. Poison seemed like the best bet. [/QUOTE]
