Hi Nightfall! I got that Shelzar city book the other day and I have to say i really like page 95 too ;) That is very cool. The written content is excellent, IMO Lots of stuff to build adventures off of and great write ups on the NPCs and city locations. but (there's always a 'but' isn't there?) I was very dissapointed in the quality of the city maps. I was hoping for a full page layout but even if that wasn't possible I don't understand why they are so dark! I can barely see the different sections of the city on the first map. The numbered location map is a little better but still very, very dark (the numbers are white in black boxes so they are easy to see at least). Is this common for all copies of the book or did I just get a bad one? The other artwork in the book seems normal so I'd have to assume that it is the norm. Also any idea if SS&S will release a pdf Shelzar map sometime in the future (heck a book of just city maps of Scarn would be very cool - something along the lines of the Gazeteers would be ideal - inexpensive but lots of room for full page maps!) Anyway, other than the maps the book continues the top notch writing quality I have come to expect from SS&S. Can't wait for Blood Bayou!!! (my players want to have anothe round with Jack of Tears :D )
