Should White Wolf do a d20 Magazine?

While at Gen Con, I asked Stephen Weick (sorry if I misspelled the name there) if there was any chance that White Wolf would be doing a d20 magazine. Don't laugh but White Wolf, back in the day, used to do a mag that covered just about every game system. Back in it's early days, it was AD&D support until TSR got very protective and wouldn't let anyone do that including say, Mayfair and Role Aids.

I feel that if Mongoose with their numerous settings can do a d20 magazine, that White Wolf certainly could do one with Gamma World, Scarred Lands, Warcraft, Everquest, Necromancer Games, and other branches.

Other thoughts?

This might be a good idea, if they have high quality articles. I like to think competition is good for most industries. So, maybe this new magazine could give Dragon a run for its money. The public might benefit with good articles on their products and articles that anyone can use.

I would subscribe to that magazine. It woudl be even cooler if Mongoose, Green Ronin, and White Wolf teamed up and did one together for all their stuff. Oh, and include AEG for Stargate stuff.

I think it would do very well (probably better than Star Wars Gamer).

Not bad Al! :) I've just been waiting rather impatiently for my author's copies of PG: Wizards, Bards and Sorcerers.

I'd like to see another d20 print magazine. They did a good job in the early days with WW magazine, and I think they'd do a good job with a d20 one. Scarred Lands, Mutants and Masterminds, Swashbuckling Adventures... all the non-D&D stuff would have a good home. I'd subscribe, and attempt to contribute!

I remember the old magazine White Wolf (later White Wolf Inphobia). It started out as an okay, if not too exciting, magazine. It became, to use their own terminology, "tragically hip" and, as expected, a house organ for V:tM.

I'd be interested to see what they came up with, but I'm not holding my breath at all.

Ah, now if WW did a d20 magazine, I would have to demand that they bring back Dale Cook's "The Royal City of Pendrane" stories! :D

In the pre-Inphobia days, WW the Magazine was better than Dragon (by a far margin!).

So what was Stephen's reaction to your questions, Joe?
