"1-Handed Weapon (1d6) 2-Handed Weapon (1d8) Unarmed (1d4) Thrown Weapon (1d6) Missile Weapon (1d6) Large Missile Weapon (1d10)" I like the idea but also want to use 1d12 in that. How about, unarmed 1d4 10 foot reach weapon 1d6 (because there is less power in swinging and stabbing with a long weapon) thrown weapon 1d6 bow arrow 1d6 1 handed light weapon (ex. dagger) 1d6 1 handed off-hand (ex. short sword) 1d8 crossbow arrow 1d8 1 handed main (ex. long sword) 1d10 2 handed 1d12 (if you don't use a heavy shield and lose +2 to your AC, you have a chance to do +2 extra damage with two-handed weapons over a main 1 handed weapon) bludgeoning -- stunned condition on a critical hit piercing/slashing -- weakened condition on a critical hit Now here is where players need to consider the value of having an off-hand weapon. I'm trying to promote the idea that every 5 levels you get an additional action. But with limitations. You can swing a main weapon only 1 time and an off-hand weapon 1 time at 5th level. You can swing a main weapon 2 times and an off-hand weapon 1 time at 10th level. You can swing a main weapon 2 times and an off-hand weapon 2 times at 15th level. You could also use a shield, gauntlet or steel boot as an off-hand weapon and do 1d4+1 or 1d4+2 bludgeoning damage. The damage should not be higher because you also get the benefit of a +1 for light or +2 for heavy shield.
