Message: <blockquote data-quote="DungeonmasterCal" data-source="post: 2192692" data-attributes="member: 5388">Well, for anyone interested, here is how the game played out.  My first character, the soulknife, died in the first 45 minutes of the game to a combination of will o'wisps, undead, and animated cat statues.  It took another 40 minutes or so before we worked my backup character (the cleric/paladin) into the game.  30 minutes later, he failed a save vs. some sort of heinous spell and died.  A wish later resurrected him, but by the time that happened (over an hour later) the combination of pain meds and general exhaustion made me pretty much useless as contributing member of the party the rest of the night.  Barely able to form a coherent thought, I just followed the party and rolled to hit when the situation called for it.It was nice to be able to play again for the first time in 3 months, but I was just having a hard time getting into it (no fault of the DM or the other players, though).</blockquote>
