[QUOTE="StreamOfTheSky, post: 4650366, member: 35909"] Yes, they'll think it's a real "fireball" (I feel the need to use quotations), but it will still have no actual effect on them. Really, they won't know what it is or is pretending to be w/o spellcraft. If they lack that skill, they don't know what specifically a fireball is, and the illusion will just look like some sort of fire attack. It willl seem to be real (failed the save), but for some reason, it did not harm them. Who knows why? Maybe they were saved by divine fortune, maybe the enemy caster screwed up the casting, whatever. If the enemies DO have spellcraft...sure, they understand specifically what a fireball is. They also could just ID it as a Silent Image spell anyway, though... In any case, it's still not actually harming them. If you wanted to be nice and rule that anyone who fails the will save dives for cover instinctively and thus becomes prone, maybe do that. But it wouldn't make sense, since a) that's not a typical effect of rolling reflex for half damage and b) just to reiterate a), there's actually a separate feat in C.Adv just to bring this sort of effect into existence --the Dive for Cover feat, which lets you make a second attempt with the downside of ending up prone. I'm all for rewarding creativity, but there's nothing particularly creative about this idea. IMHO, it's actually one of the dumbest and most self-defeating uses of Silent Image I've ever heard of.
