A while back, I was reading some druid PrC's for a Centaur Druid I was playing, and I ran across the Animal Lord in the Masters of the Wild book. At first, it didn't seem like much, but it was interesting enough to merit a thought or two at a later date.
I noticed the animals represented by the Animal Lords were encouraged to be changed by the DM, which made me think of vermin, in particular spiders.
Using the Animal Sense ability at level 10 (100 mile radius), with Animal Farspeech (Communicate telepathically you can sense), one could attempt to impose Share Greater Form with every spider within 100 miles. Lets choose Dire Bear form.
So, you're walking along the caverns of the Underdark, headed into one of the Lolth worshiping cities, when suddenly you decide to impose upon every spider in the city (and a portion of the tunnels surrounding it) to become Dire Bears, effectively insta-gibbing the city, the inhabitants, yourself, and the majority of the spiders themselves, which then return to spider form.
Lolth would obviously allow it. She thrives on chaos and forcing her subjects to defend themselves bodily, and those that are unable get tossed to the side. This would be a magnificent test for the mages and clerics clairvoyance.
What are your thoughts on this? Suicide bombing is a pretty uncommon idea for most players to come across, but assuming you have a guaranteed resurrection, it would be a hilarious way to surprise a DM.
