The following morning, Monique fully realizes how much she's excited by this new kind of adventure. She takes a long shower, gathering her ideas, then grabs her cellular phone. She has much to plan. She has never been in Rome, but she has been in Milan years ago, when she still thought a life as a top-model could be exciting. She had a different name then, but names are like dresses to her, they have to be changed according to fashion. She calls some of her old friends there, and ask them what are the best boutiques in Rome, especially asking for Roberto Cavalli, whose style would go very well with her mood, and the telephone number of the Savoy Hotel, a luxury hotel right in the city center, that was recommended to her. Once an arabian prince invited her there, but that's another story. She calls them to book a suite for a week, and to have a nice car waiting for her in Fiumicino. Finally she makes the last call to the airport of Nice to book a first class flight to Rome. When she leaves Montecarlo, she has left behind another one of her skins, Françoise Treville disappeares, and Mary Delacroix takes the flight to Rome. Mary's hair is a richer hue of gold, her many curls gathered in little braids behind her ears. She's an american, and her accent of the south is clearly there to prove it, as are her tight jeans. She wears flowery earrings and a simple make up that make her look younger, more like a girl enjoying her vacation in Europe rather than a hunting lady as Françoise was. Once in Rome, she behaves a couple days as a perfect tourist, visiting the monuments and going shopping, then one evening she asks her chaffeur to bring her near the club where she had her rendez-vous with the Silver Bullets. Frowning slightly as she walks quickly toward the pub, she enters with curiosity written all over her face.
