Um thanks for the file but it actulay dose not have the info I need. it dose not give the info for 2d4 sise increase to large or larger

You increase 2d4 to 2d6 (because d4 goes to d6 with one size increase). After that point, the chart shows you how to increase 2d6. The same goes for any damage die (or dice) roll that doesn't have a direct corresponding entry on the chart.

The chart is also on page 28 of the DMG, and it includes an entry for 2d4.

So:

2d4 (medium) --> 2d6 (large) --> 3d6 (Huge) --> 4d6 (Gargantuan) --> 6d6 (Colossal)

Anyone else find it weird that 1d8 (medium) goes up to 2d6 (large) eg longsword, but 2d6 (medium) goes down to 1d10 (small) eg great sword ? Apparently consistency is too much to ask for.

Look at the weapons that do that. That is the great sword and great axe. That was done specificly for small characters in 3.5 to have a semi desirable amount of damage if they go two handed.
