Thank you for saving my life!"</span></p><p></p><p>As you exit the compound, Torrent tells the guards: <span style="color: DeepSkyBlue">"You might want to head up to the fourth floor. I think some of guards got into a bit of a scuffle and may need your assistance."</span></p><p></p><p>The dwarven guards thank her, complain about someone named Grog causing trouble and then grab some supplies from the gate house before trotting over to the tower. </p><p></p><p>Larion leads the group further East through the slushy streets and you dodge various packs of running civilians, Gate Pass soldiers rushing to the Western walls and over your heads the occasional wyvern-riding Ragesian sorties with a Gate Pass sky cavalryman on the back of a griffon. You pass through two more district gates without incident before arriving at your destination.</p><p></p><p>Gabal’s school consists of a small campus with four 50-ft. towers and several smaller buildings, surrounded by a moat and an iron fence. One of the towers is cracked and still smouldering, presumably from a Ragesian bomb. Additionally, the corpses of a griffon and its rider float in the moat. The corpses are bloated and appear to have been looted by a few red robed students that poke at the bodies with their staffs. </p><p></p><p>Sitting on a large piece of masonry that fell from the cracked tower is a human man in his late twenties with a receding hair line and sporting a rather large paunch. He is also in red robes, but wears a fur cloak over top and smokes casually from a pipe. He watches the morbid students near the moat before seeing your party approach the iron gate. He stares for a moment, smiles and then rises to say:</p><p></p><p><span style="color: PaleGreen">"Well, well, well. Arnir Bowflight and Torrent. I thought you two would be long gone by now. What brings you to Gabals at this late hour? And with a retinue to rival the Emperor of Ragesia, may he burn in the abyss."</span></p><p></p><p>Torrent smiles: <span style="color: DeepSkyBlue">"Good evening...or should I say morning Diogenes."</span></p></blockquote><p></p>
