After Arnir casts a Knock spell, Shealis approaches the case and hesitantly attempts to open it. The case opens with a soft click and you can see that the lock mechanism contained no mechanical parts - as if a special device or implement was needed to open the case in absence of magic. Shealis puts her hand in the case and removes a thin leather-bound book and a number of rolled up sheets of parchment. She exhales nervously and smiles at Arnir: "I did say that, and I can offer some funds from what I have available. Given both our parties are likely to benefit from the contents, I'll offer you slightly above half the scroll's market value." She turns to one of the soldiers and says: "Go upstairs and get our friend 10 pieces of platinum." The soldier salutes, dashes up the stairs and returns a moment later placing the requested amount into Arnir's hand. The coins are minted abroad and you can see the seal of Shahalesti on the currency. You all now gather around the documents, taking a close look. The book contains maybe 20-30 pages and it appears, after some discussion between Shealis and Arnir, to be written in Infernal. For those of you that are proficient in the language, you note that it is likely a divine subject, however, the specific contents appear to be constructed using a sophisticated cipher as they do not make any sense. The large sheets of parchment are maps and architectural drawings for some sort of underground complex, but like the book, they too contain cryptic notes in infernal. "Well," says Torrent, "what do we do with this stuff? I'd like to get it to Lyceum as originally intended, but you elves want to take it to Calanis. Is there some way we can compromise or share this unclear information?"
