Six Realms is a role-playing game for kids by kids. It started out as a family project by a family that, like many families, was stuck inside due to the pandemic and needed something to do. The book contains everything you need to run adventures with kids. The rules are simple enough for kids to play and even run, but meaty enough for grown-ups to enjoy too. For ages 6 and up.
Make a character and journey through six realms of adventure, each with a different theme:
Human Realm, a low-magic world similar but a little different from our own
Fairy Realm, where fairy tales are real
Shadow Realm, a place of perpetual darkness where zombies and skeletons walk the land
Giant Realm, a place ruled by giants with vast cities of magical technology
Dragon Realm, a world among the clouds where dragons rule
Abyss, a terrifying realm of chaos and demons — and lots of eyeballs and tentacles
The rules are simple. Players make checks based on one of four Traits, which can be modified with abilities or by spending Energy tokens. Players can also alter their luck or even the story itself by spending Story Points. And it is easy enough for a 7- or 8-year-old to run.
Choose from nine fantasy species:
Asura, Gnome, Human, Jinn, Minotaur, Naga, Satyr, Sprite, and Umbra
Nine jobs:
Hunter, Knight, Royal, Shadowfused, Sorcerer, Tinkerer, Weapon-master, Witch, and Wizard
And customize your character further with abilities and gear.
The book also includes around 100 creatures, printable magic item cards and tokens, a world map, and a sample adventure.
All proceeds go towards the designers' allowance.
