[QUOTE="Harsh Realities, post: 6035591, member: 6700897"] Earlier I posted and asked about publishing Sixcess Core in 6 x 9 format. We recieved enough responses that we have reworked our budget to allow for a whole new layout in 6 x 9. We're not going to just reconfigure the 8.5 x 11. We've talked to our layout specialist and she's going ot make a completely new layout for the 6 x 9, reworking the artwork and tables to fit correctly in 6 x 9. We'll be able to offer the 6x9 in softback, hardback and color hardback as an add-on. If a backer prefers the 6 x 9, they can choose to receive their printed copy in that format instead of 8.5 x 11 (and it is subject to the same benefits as the 8.5 x 11 if we reach the stretch goals that upgrade the printed copy from softback to hardback and from hardback to color hardback). To be clear, we're still offering the 8.5 x 11 -- the 6 x 9 is an option or add-on. Additionally, I had a message from someone who complained that we didn't offer a free PDF with the printed copy. I pointed out that at a cover price of $40, the Defender level Tier offers a printed copy, a PDF, free shipping and no tax -- so it's even better than buying it after the kickstarter is over in every way. The one who messaged me said that it is becoming a "trend" that companies offer a free PDF with their printed copies. I had not seen this except for occasional offers. I had, instead, seen that producers seem to be valuing their electronic copies more than their printed copies. Printing seems to be trending more toward the "afterthought" as publishing moves more and more to paperless / electronic format as the norm. What are your thoughts?
