Slain

[Shard O'Glase]

I'm probably spelling it wrong but I've seen it mentioned a few times now. What is Slain, I heard it's celtic based and its magic system is different. Celtic means nothing to me I have vritualy a total lack of knowledge on the subject.

So can anyone give me the run-down on rules differences, quirks, who makes it, a good place to read up on it etc.

Slaine, pronounced "sleye-nya"

Personally, I felt that the world was a bit dopey in that 2000 AD way, and with lots of '80s crud about mother goddesses and the like, but it does have some neat elements. The character classes are few and very limiting, though (no multiclassing, frex). You might also want to check out Celtic Age, which IIRC is by Avalanche. Looks more historical, though I haven't been able to check a copy out thoroughly for historicity.
