Suppose I've got 1 FR-style epic level, which I use to take a level of sohei (OA). Suppose two weapons of speed offer two extra attacks. Monk 20/sohei 1. This might be a bit of a kludge but the sohei flurry is nice. 5 (unarmed base attack bonus) 2 (lightning fists) 2 (hustle - this is assuming that the speed kicks in for the extra partial action) 1 (sohei ki frenzy) 1 (off-hand weapon) 1 (improved two-weapon fighting) 1 (greater two-weapon fighting) 1 (righteous wrath of the faithful) 2 (two weapons of speed) That's 16 attacks. You can get more if you go for something with extra limbs -- nezumi if you're (hah!) "conservative," xill or marilith if you want to get really sick and feel like throwing around lots of epic levels to pay for the ECL price. A nezumi with a tail spike of speed adds 2 more attacks (one more limb); a marilith with 4 more weapons of speed adds 8 more (four more limbs). If the speed enchantment doesn't stack with regards to multiple weapons, the nezumi gets 1 extra attack, the marilith gets 4. For that matter, I'm attacking (counting penalties for lightning fists, two-weapon fighting, and the sohei flurry) at +6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+6/+3/+1/+0/-3/-4/-6. If I want to hit anything, I need some serious bonuses to my attack roll. If the monk has expert tactician and is up against someone without a Dex bonus, he can get 1 more attack (or 2 more if you'd rule -- I think it's ambiguous -- that his speed enhancement kicks in for the feat's partial action). Depending on how you rule with regards to the speed enchantment and partial actions due to expert tactiction, hustle, et al, stacking, you can get anywhere from 16 to 18 attacks. With the marilith, you're at 24 to 26. If the speed enchantment only worked for one weapon, you'd be at 14 to 16, or 18 to 20 if you were a marilith. Creatures with more limbs can, of course, get even more attacks. And I'm not counting attacks of opportunity -- they can go all over the place.
