I thought this episode sucked so much I barely paid any attention for the last 1/4. I love this show. But this was the third sad pathetic attempt to portray Clark and Lana making out, "but not really". It was a poor excuse to get them in new costumes, do a little "not really" time travel, and once again opt out of writing the main plot. And, because they knew the crap would hit the fan if they did the entire episode with no link to continuity, they tied it back to continuity at the very end with a magic hand waive. We KNOW there is no way the meteors all hit smallville intentionally. You cannot aim an antire planet's randomly exploded garbage at a tiny spec on the planet. Hell, we cannot aim the space shuttle that accurately from near orbit. The whole premise of the show was that this alien randomly landed in a small town. Now, because of this cheap shot of an episode, we have Smallville being the intentional target of tons of meteors that all precisely hit a small spec on the planet from literally tens of thousands of light years away. Riiiight. Even Light Waves cannot be that precise! I can dispel my connection to reality to believe a man can fly, if that is the point of the show. I cannot dispell all knowledge of physics just for a cheap shot aimed to get clothing off of two hot people and pump out a slight bit more in the ratings for a single episode. This episode was the shark being jumped.
