Well I gave up on the show about a year and a half ago when it just got too silly. But I watched the finale anyway, just so I wouldn't miss one last opportunity to snark. Problem is I had no idea what was going on. Oh well. I don't get what was up with Lionel. Didn't Lex push him out a window two or three seasons ago? And one last look at those ridiculous surgical instruments and strapped gurneys Smallville always loved to put into evil medical facilities and bad mental hospitals. I think they padded the episode out with way too many cheesy cliches in the dialogue too. And do the writers like Final Fantasy VII or something? All I could think of was "Meteor". But you know what? It was worth it for the last five minutes. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but close enough. I hoped Clark would finally stop whining, grow a pair, and don the suit as the Superman theme played in the background. It happened. The credits cut the theme short on broadcast, but tht's easily remedied: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e9vrfEoc8_g]YouTube - Superman Theme[/ame]
